If you're planning a trip to the Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park Region and are interested in staying in a traditional Maine camp, you've found the right place Acadia Camp offers the best of both worlds...
A traditional Maine camp on beautiful George's Pond . George's Pond is located a short drive (about 30 minutes) from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Imagine being able to retire to your own relaxing camp after spending the day touring Acadia National Park. No noisy motel or parking problems to deal with! I like to think Acadia Camp offers the best of both worlds. The location of our camp is situated such that you are not too far from the attractions of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park (Ellsworth, Maine is near by) and other points of interest. While being secluded enough to provide a relaxing Maine woods atmosphere.

In the past, it has provided a natural retreat for my family from the cares of our daily lives. I know your family will also find the relaxation it needs at Acadia Camp. Acadia Camp includes many basic modern conveniences as well... We provide hot and cold running water (this water is from the pond, while suitable for bathing, etc., we strongly recommend you provide your own drinking water), a shower and modern toilet are provided. Other conveniences such as TV and VCR are also provided. We also provide an electric range, refrigerator and microwave oven. Sorry no telephone*, modems or fax machines. *If you have a cellular phone, coverage is good in the Downeast Maine area. Acadia Camp offers swimming, kayaking, canoeing and fishing opportunities for the whole family.* Since Acadia Camp is located in a relatively undeveloped area, the opportunities for observing wildlife, such as eagles, ospreys, and deer are much greater. *Sorry, we do not provide canoes, kayaks or fishing gear. Fisherman...Come enjoy one of the best Smallmouth Bass lakes in Downeast Maine! Other species of fish such as Brown Trout and White Perch are also popular. The kids will enjoy catching Perch and other Sunfish off our small dock. A public boat launch is also available on the other side of the pond should you need to launch a larger boat--(NOTE: There are no horsepower restrictions on George's Pond).
